Dr. Sid Goldblatt, the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of MolecularDx, is board-certified in multiple sub-specialties of Pathology (AP/CP, Hematopathology, Transfusion Medicine, Medical Microbiology, and Forensic Pathology). After graduating first in his class at Temple University School of Medicine, he served his residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and earned a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Goldblatt was a Clinical Professor at Temple University Hospital, and was for 40 years the Director for MMC’s Laboratory and Pathology Residency Program Director and is on the medical staffs of Memorial Medical Center, Meyersdale Medical Center, Miners Medical Center and Windber Medical Center. Dr. Goldblatt is a major contributor to the evolution of clinical information systems, from his first laboratory information system in 1965 to the development of a clinical semantic network for clinical documentation in 2013. As an entrepreneur, Sid founded Sunquest Information System in 1979, and earned Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1997 for developing the world’s first and largest lab-based information system. Currently, he is launching a family of next generation healthcare companies.
Dr. Voeghtly graduated from The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine with a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pathology. Her research career is enhanced by 13 years of experience delivering molecular assays in a clinical environment. In her current position as Chief Scientist at MolecularDx, Laura manages all laboratory staff and operations including new assay development and implementation, financial analysis, intra-laboratory collaborations as well as the clinical interpretation and reporting of molecular testing.
Chelsee Donelan is the Chief of Mass Spectrometry for MolecularDx in Windber, Pennsylvania, where she is charged with building a state-of- the-art forensic and clinical toxicology laboratory. She completed her bachelor degrees from Carlow University in the areas of Biology and Chemistry, along with an Autopsy Technology Certification. She expects to complete her PhD from Duquesne University in 2016, in the areas of analytical biochemistry and mass spectrometry.
Brian has served as a technology consultant and operations director in the biotech sector for many years. In his current role Brian is working with the executive team at MolecularDx to develop and implement business development and product management strategies.
Angalena Hargreaves, B.S. HT (ASCP) has been a Pathologists’ Assistant and Histotechnician since 1997. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Conemaugh Hospital School of Allied Health, she is a board certified Histotechnician under the American society of Clinical Pathology. In addition, Ms. Hargreaves was a clinical instructor of histotechnology for seven years, and spent another two years as a gross room instructor for Pathologists’ Assistant students. Currently, she is the histology supervisor at MolecularDx.
Dr. Christopher Divito obtained his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 studying biophysics and protein chemistry. During post-doctoral research, Dr. Divito investigated mechanisms of action of drugs of abuse and neurocircuitry. He then moved to Duquesne University to study proteomic analysis of ion channels using tandem mass spectrometry before joining MolecularDx as Assistant Director of Mass Spectrometry.
Dr. Jordan recently graduated from The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine with a PhD in Biomedical Informatics, and received a MS degree from East Carolina University in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology. He has 16 years of experience in biological data analysis in many forms. In the current position Rick provides data analysis and data mining support to staff, as well as participating in validations, and performing laboratory experimentation such as Human Identification and Pharmacogenomic assays.
Alisha graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology. She has 14 years of experience in research and clinical laboratories, working in proteomics and genomics. Along with applying her laboratory experience to the analysis of patient samples, Alisha serves as MolecularDx’s quality assurance manager. She maintains laboratory and general best practices and helps to maintain our company in excellent standing with our accrediting bodies.
Carol graduated from Saint Francis University with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. She is a certified Medical Laboratory Technician by the American Society of Clinical Pathology with over 32 years of experience in clinical laboratory and transfusion medicine. Carol has served as a Generalist, Hematology Supervisor, Education Coordinator, Instructor, and Preceptor. She is a certified Breath Alcohol Technician by CMI Inc, and an Inspection Team Member with the College of American Pathologists.
